PROFESSIONAL LEAD IN WATER TEST KIT

LEAD CONTAMINATED DRINKING WATER is one of the #1 health threats along with lead poisoning from painted surfaces. Over 57 million homes have either plumbing or lead soldered pipes. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that over 30 million homes in over 43 states in the United States have lead levels which exceed the EPA danger level of 15 ppb (parts per billion). High levels of lead can cause mental retardation, blindness, comas and even death, to both children and adults. Lead can also cause problems in pregnancy and affect a baby’s normal development. The PRO-LAB® Professional Lead in Water Test Kit utilizes an EPA approved laboratory that will accurately and reliably test your water for lead contamination down to 1 ppb.

DIRECTIONS

IMPORTANT NOTE: To obtain accurate results, you MUST take a first draw sample of your water. Your water should not be used for a minimum of 6 hours prior to sampling. The best time to take the sample is in the morning before any water usage.

1. Remove all contents from packaging: the protective mailing tube, plastic (non-breakable) test tube, pre-paid postage envelope, and information form.
2. Place a one quart or one-liter container (preferably plastic) under the faucet, and turn on the cold water to a slow trickle. When the container is full, stir the water briefly with a plastic (not metal) spoon. Pour water from the container into the plastic test tube. Seal cap tightly, to prevent water leakage.
3. Completely fill out the information form. (Analysis can not be conducted unless you submit all of the information requested)

STANDARD LAB RESULTS

Place the plastic tube back into the protective mailing tube and place in the enclosed pre-paid postage envelope along with the information form, and a check, money order (made payable to PRO-LAB®) or a credit card voucher for $20.00 (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, or Discover only). MAIL IMMEDIATELY (within 24 hours of the completion of the test). Within 2 weeks after PRO-LAB® has received your sample, we will send you an easy to read evaluation of the lead level in your water, using EPA approved methods.

EXPRESS FAX SERVICE

Express fax service is available for an additional $15.00. In order to use the express fax service, you must send the sample, the information form (with a fax number on the back), and the proper payment to PRO-LAB® using an overnight shipping company such as Federal Express, Airborne Express or UPS.
